At present the AEMVF is developing a structure that flows from the Strategic Plan and will incorporate protocols for Governance to enhance the way the AEMVF operates.

Governance - Key Performance Indicators
Clear policy for AEMVF involvement promulgated:

•attendance at meeting
•communication channels
•website presence
•subgroups, etc

Clear job descriptions for office bearers published:

•term of tenure
•election/appointment method

Sufficient funding obtained to enable:

•website maintenance
•AEMVF secretariat
•travel to national meetings

The AEMVF, ably supported by the Attorney General’s Department, and the Australian Tax Office, staged the third Emergency Management Volunteers Summit in Canberra on 30-31 May. The themes were “Partnerships, Experiences, Solutions,” and the slogan was: “The Future is in our Hands”.
